**HOT OFF the PRESS**
Valentines Day Special iRescU event held to recognize the recipients of the inaugural iRescU AED geoLocation Scavenger Hunt Challenge Awards!
The Award Ceremony was held in New York City, at the New York Athletic Club, during Social Media Week.
Awards of a Defibrillator were presented for each AED Scavenger Hunt Challenge Winner - Linda Cotter Forbes and Kim Traut, and an iPad awarded to the current record breaking efforts of individual efforts of 81 and 68 AED geolocations.
The Rhinebeck, NY team out performed all locations by geolocating a total of 139 AEDs, of the hundreds of AEDs that the iRescU Challenges have geolocated to date.

iRescU was delighted to have the AED Awards presented to the Challenge Winners by two of the nations leading SCA foundations. Mary Newman, President of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation presented the November 2011 iRescU Challenge Winning Award, and Bonnie Arkus President of the Womens Heart Foundation,presented the world record breaking AED geolocation winning Award for the December 2011 iRescU Challenge.

Many thanks to all who made this possible and particularly those who participlated in this impressive effort at geolocating AEDs - a record breaking effort, and a great contribution to society!!

Announcement of the December mHealth Summit "iRescU AED geoLocation Challenge" winners !
A truly impressive response - and a world record breaking effort - with the lead prize contenders having identified dozens of AEDs
- for the first prize, geolocating a total of 81 AEDs, came from yet again Rhinebeck, NY, more than double the November Challenge's winning tally!!
The second place winner has been a huge solo North American AED scavenger hunt globetrott - by Brittany Bogle - a grad student in Chicago with 68 AED geoLocations!
Given Brittany's impressive solo effort, she has been given an opportunity to participate in the iRescU project team.
The runners up have also had an impressive tally also:
- Darren Forbes, with another 21 AEDs from the also of Rhinebeck, NY
- Alex Galvino, Rockville, MD, with 17
- Jim Foster, of Anchorage, Alaska with 17
- Lori Severson, of Denver Colorado with 10
And a big thank you to the many who sent in their AED pics and locations, and particularly those from all around the world, the first entry actually came in from the Amsterdam Airport!
